About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Business Analyst with a strong focus on testing, UAT
coordination, deployment planning, and Hypercare execution to support a strategic migration
from Atlassian Data Center to Atlassian Cloud (Jira and Confluence). This role is central to
ensuring a high-quality, well-governed, and minimally disruptive transition for our engineering,
IT, and business teams. You will own the end-to-end testing lifecycle, lead UAT coordination
and execution, drive defect triage and reporting, and serve as a key orchestrator of deployment
and Hypercare activities — while acting as a critical liaison between technical teams,
stakeholders, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
? Testing Strategy & Execution
• Define, own, and execute a comprehensive end-to-end testing strategy across all migration
phases, including functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned to migration scope, integration
dependencies, and business-critical workflows
• Coordinate and execute testing across Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and
Confluence — validating workflows, schemes, permissions, project configurations, and
Marketplace app functionality in the Cloud environment
• Validate that all integrations (CI/CD pipelines, REST API consumers, third-party apps) are
functioning as expected post-migration
• Maintain a centralized test case repository and ensure traceability from requirements through
test execution and sign-off
? UAT Coordination & Execution
• Serve as the primary coordinator for all UAT activities, managing scheduling, participant
onboarding, environment readiness, and execution tracking
• Partner with business stakeholders, integration owners, and platform teams to define UAT
scope, entry/exit criteria, and acceptance standards
• Facilitate UAT sessions, providing guidance and real-time support to testers throughout
execution cycles
• Track UAT progress against plan, proactively identifying blockers and escalating risks to keep
execution on schedule
• Obtain and document formal UAT sign-off from stakeholders prior to go-live authorization
?.
.
 Defect Triage, Tracking & Reporting
• Lead defect triage sessions, facilitating prioritization discussions with technical and business
stakeholders to assess severity, impact, and resolution ownership
• Maintain a structured defect log (in Jira), ensuring all issues are clearly documented with
reproduction steps, severity ratings, ownership, and resolution status
• Produce regular testing status reports and defect dashboards for project leadership, surfacing
trends, blockers, and go/no-go risk indicators
• Track defects through the full lifecycle — from identification through resolution, retest, and
closure — ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
• Define and enforce defect SLAs in alignment with migration risk thresholds and go-live criteria
.
s7 Deployment Planning & Execution
• Collaborate with technical leads and project managers to develop detailed deployment plans,
including cutover sequencing, task ownership, timing windows, and dependency mapping
• Maintain and manage cutover runbooks and checklists, ensuring all pre-cutover, during-
cutover, and post-cutover steps are clearly defined and assigned
• Develop and maintain rollback plans with clearly defined trigger criteria and execution steps
• Coordinate with Atlassian, third-party vendors, and internal platform teams during migration
execution windows to ensure smooth, on-plan delivery
• Track deployment task completion in real time during cutover events, flagging deviations and
driving rapid decision-making
)
 Hypercare Planning & Execution
• Design and own the Hypercare plan, defining support coverage models, escalation paths,
monitoring checkpoints, and issue response SLAs for the post-go-live stabilization period
• Serve as the Hypercare execution lead, coordinating daily standups, issue intake, triage, and
resolution tracking during the stabilization window
• Monitor system health, integration performance, and user-reported issues in real time following
migration go-live
• Produce daily Hypercare status reports summarizing open issues, resolution progress, user
impact, and overall system stability
• Define and manage the criteria for Hypercare exit, ensuring all critical issues are resolved and
stakeholders formally acknowledge transition to steady-state support –? Planning, Risk & Dependency Management
• Maintain a RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) with a focus on testing and
deployment risks
• Identify and escalate blockers that could impact UAT completion, deployment readiness, or
Hypercare stability
• Collaborate with integration owners to ensure all connected systems are included in test scope
and deployment sequencing
• Support go/no-go decision-making by providing clear, data-driven readiness assessments
based on testing outcomes and open defect status
)
 Documentation & Reporting
• Create and maintain migration documentation including test plans, UAT coordination guides,
defect triage logs, deployment runbooks, cutover checklists, and Hypercare playbooks
• Develop stakeholder-facing status reports and dashboards that translate technical testing and
deployment details into clear, actionable insights
• Ensure all documentation is version-controlled and kept current throughout all migration
phases
• Post-Migration Optimization User Training: Updating documentation and training users on the
differences between Data Center and Cloud functionality.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or QA/Testing Coordinator, with at least 2+
years focused on Atlassian platforms (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence)
• Demonstrated experience leading UAT coordination and execution on large-scale platform
migrations or enterprise system implementations
• Proven track record managing defect triage processes, including logging, prioritization,
tracking, and reporting through resolution
• Experience developing and executing deployment runbooks, cutover plans, and rollback
strategies
• Hands-on experience designing and executing Hypercare support models for post-go-live
stabilization
• Strong proficiency with Jira for defect tracking and reporting (dashboards, filters, and custom
reports)
• Experience with Atlassian Data Center to Cloud migrations or large-scale Atlassian platform
upgrades, Specifically the differences in API and functionality between Data Center and Cloud
• Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence administration, including workflows, schemes,
permissions, and project configurations
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to
drive accountability across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud migration tools (Jira Cloud Migration Assistant, Confluence
Cloud Migration Assistant)
• Experience with enterprise SSO/SAML integrations (Okta) in the context of Atlassian Cloud
testing and validation
• Knowledge of Atlassian Access / Guard and cloud security/governance features
• Background in ITSM or DevOps environments
• Experience working in a cybersecurity or high-compliance technology environment
• Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, GitLab, Jenkins, Slack, or similar that
commonly integrate with Jira/Confluence
What You'll Bring
• A structured, execution-focused approach to managing complex testing and deployment
workstreams in a fast-moving enterprise environment
• The ability to drive accountability across stakeholders, testers, and technical teams to keep
UAT and deployment activities on track
• A sharp eye for defect patterns and risk signals, translating testing data into clear go/no-go
recommendations for leadership
