Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current infrastructure and solutions to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes planning and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that the solutions implemented are scalable and deliver high performance. The engineer works with both private and public cloud platforms to support innovative business goals and next-generation technology adoption. Collaboration with various teams and continuous assessment of migration progress are key aspects of the daily workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of migration strategies to ensure seamless cloud adoption.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure post-migration to maintain performance and cost efficiency.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and knowledge sharing to foster professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Kubernetes.
- Experience with container orchestration and management in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components and migration methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud deployments and migrations.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline migration processes.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in Kubernetes.
- This position is based at our PDC2C - SEZ location.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
