This Assistant Manager-level Systems Analyst role is responsible for leading the design, integration, and continuous improvement of financial data pipelines that connect operational ERP systems, such as CW1 and PeopleSoft, with the modern data warehouse platform. The role will facilitate solution and process design discussions across Finance and IT teams, own projects from requirements gathering through deployment, and support management reporting, advanced analytics, and accurate global month-end closing processes.
This hybrid role also provides the opportunity to lead high-impact automation initiatives using modern tools such as Alteryx and Power Automate, driving process improvements and efficiency gains for both IT and finance business teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Data Pipeline & Solution Design
Lead the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of financial data pipelines from operational ERP systems (e.g. CW1, PeopleSoft) to the data warehouse platform for management reporting, advanced analytics, and decision support.
- Facilitate solution and process design discussions across Finance and IT teams; gather reporting requirements and translate finance needs into technical specifications and enhanced reporting logic.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data flows, integration logic, and reporting specifications to support cross-team collaboration and knowledge transfer.
- Support global month-end closing cycles by ensuring timely and accurate data pipeline execution and CW1/PeopleSoft integration; maintain and enhance existing CW1/PeopleSoft accounting functions, especially Month-End Closing processes.
- Troubleshoot complex system and data issues with a sense of urgency; perform in-depth root-cause analysis and drive post-mortem improvements to prevent recurrence.
Finance Process Automation & Workflow Optimization
- Identify manual or inefficient finance operational processes and assess high-value automation opportunities.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions using modern tools such as Alteryx and Power Automate to improve data accuracy and operational productivity.
- Research and evaluate potential automation solutions to continuously improve existing processes.
Project Management & Cross-Team Leadership
- Own projects end-to-end, including project planning, objective setting, ticket design, development coordination, deployment, and results tracking, under moderate management support; escalate issues and risks early.
- Lead functional design discussions across teams and facilitate cross-team meetings on issues, integrations, and new initiatives to drive feasible solutions.
- Prepare communication materials and status updates for corporate senior management on project progress, solution proposals, and requirement discussions.
- Hold effective team sharing sessions on project work and domain knowledge to elevate team capabilities and ensure smooth knowledge transition from the predecessor.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Technical Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance/Accounting Information Systems, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with SQL development, ETL processes, and data pipeline design across enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with CW1/PeopleSoft Financials or comparable ERP/accounting systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge/Work Experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in data pipeline development, data engineering, or enterprise systems integration, preferably supporting finance/accounting functions.
- 6+ years of advanced, hands-on SQL development, including complex query writing, performance tuning, and optimization in support of financial reporting and analytics.
- Strong proficiency with modern ETL and data orchestration tools (e.g., Alteryx, Airflow); prior experience leading workflow migration projects is a plus.
- Prior experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate is highly desirable.
- Prior experience supporting month-end closing, AR/AP, GL, or financial reporting in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience owning projects end-to-end and leading function design discussions across teams.
- Prior experience with reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI is highly desirable.
