Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, Data Migration Developer
Lead and execute complex Salesforce data migration initiatives across enterprise applications. This role will architect and implement robust end-to-end migration pipelines — sourcing data from diverse external systems (legacy CRMs, ERP platforms, databases, flat files) and migrating them into Salesforce. Responsibilities include strategy design, ETL development, data quality assurance, testing, and seamless go-live execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Data Migration Strategy & Architecture
Design end-to-end migration architecture from source systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, legacy databases, ERP, flat files) into Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom objects).
Define migration scope, sequencing, rollback plans, and maintain migration strategy documents.
Assess source system data quality, recommend cleansing approaches, and mitigate risks.
ETL Design & Development
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica Cloud, MuleSoft, Talend, Dell Boomi, or custom Python/SQL scripts.
Develop source-to-target mapping specifications and implement transformation, de-duplication, and enrichment logic.
Create reusable migration frameworks and templates for scalability.
Salesforce Data Loading & Management
Execute large-volume data loads using Data Loader, Bulk API, REST/SOAP API, ensuring compliance with governor limits.
Manage complex Salesforce data model relationships (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Cases, custom/junction objects).
Implement external ID and upsert strategies for idempotent migrations.
Data Quality & Governance
Perform source data profiling, reconciliation, and validation.
Define and enforce data quality rules, acceptance criteria, and compliance with GDPR/CCPA.
Produce migration dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
Testing, Reconciliation & Go-Live
Conduct mock migration runs, dry runs, and validation checks.
Support UAT, lead cutover planning, and provide hypercare post-go-live.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with Salesforce Architects, Business Analysts, and Data Governance teams.
Present migration status, risks, and issue logs to leadership.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant years of professional experience in data migration, data engineering, or ETL development.
Proven hands-on experience migrating data into Salesforce from external systems.
Strong proficiency with Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API (v1/v2), REST API.
Deep understanding of Salesforce data model (standard/custom objects, relationships, external IDs).
Expertise with ETL tools (Informatica Cloud, MuleSoft, Talend, Dell Boomi, Azure Data Factory).
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and automation.
Experience with Agile/Scrum project environments.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
BE or MCA, Information Technology, or related field.
