Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant / Data Migration Lead with strong expertise in SAP technical development, S/4HANA data migration, legacy data conversion, and migration object enhancement. The ideal candidate should possess deep hands-on experience in ABAP developments, Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), BDC/LSMW/BAPI-based uploads, performance tuning, interfaces, and SAP enhancement framework.

The consultant will be responsible for leading end-to-end data migration activities from ECC/Legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring data accuracy, smooth transformation, technical troubleshooting, and migration optimization. Modern S/4HANA programs increasingly treat data migration leadership as a core delivery stream rather than only ABAP support.

Key Responsibilities: SAP S/4HANA Data Migration:

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Data Migration / Data Conversion activities for implementation, rollout, and upgrade projects.
• Perform legacy data extraction, cleansing, mapping, validation, transformation, and upload into SAP S/4HANA.
• Work extensively on SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC) for standard object migration.
• Modify and enhance migration objects using LTMOM based on business requirements.
• Troubleshoot migration load failures, debug technical issues, and optimize migration performance.
• Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and post-load validation.

SAP ABAP Technical Development:

• Develop and enhance ABAP Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV Grid/List).
• Develop technical objects including:
  • BAPI
  • BADI
  • BDC
  • LSMW
  • Function Modules
  • Data Dictionary Objects
• Create custom upload programs for bulk master and transactional data migration.
• Develop technical conversion programs for extraction and transformation.

SAP Forms & Interfaces:

• Design and develop Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, PDF mailers, correspondence forms.
• Work on Inbound/Outbound interfaces using FTP, RFC, Open Dataset, AL11.
• Develop automated file-based upload/download mechanisms.

Enhancements & Customizations:

• Implement User Exits, BADIs, Enhancements, BTEs for standard SAP customization.
• Perform screen enhancements in standard transactions like MIGO, VA02, ME21N, CO11N, MIRO, CS02, CA02.
• Develop custom validations, approval workflows, and custom module pool screens.

Performance & Support:

• Conduct SQL performance tuning, short dump analysis, debugging, code remediation.
• Participate in SIT/UAT, defect fixing, hypercare, and post go-live support.
• Analyze functional specifications and prepare technical design documents.
• Coordinate with functional teams (SD/MM/FI) for business process alignment.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP / ABAP on HANA
• Minimum 2+ years experience in SAP S/4HANA projects
• Expertise in SAP Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC)
• Hands-on experience in LTMOM enhancement/custom migration object modification
• Strong knowledge in BDC, LSMW, BAPI, Function Modules
• Good exposure to Data Mapping, Data Cleansing, Data Validation
• Experience in Smart Forms / SAP Scripts
• Hands-on with Enhancements, BADI, User Exits, BTE
• Experience in FTP/RFC/Open Dataset/AL11 Interfaces
• Strong debugging and performance tuning knowledge
• Good understanding of SD/MM/FI business processes
• Experience in support / implementation / rollout / migration projects

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in S/4HANA 2023 upgrade remediation / code adaptation
• Knowledge of legacy ECC to S/4HANA migration strategy
• Exposure to onsite client handling / direct business coordination
• Experience in technical documentation and UAT support
• Automotive / Manufacturing domain exposure preferred

Project Exposure Preferred:

Candidate should have worked on at least one of the following:

• SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Projects
• SAP ECC to S/4HANA Conversion Projects
• SAP Rollout / Implementation Projects
• SAP AMS / Production Support Projects

• 6 to 10 years of relevant SAP ABAP experience
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to independently lead technical migration workstream
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities
• Willingness to work in onsite/offshore coordination model
