We are looking for an experienced Business Data Migration Specialist to support a global pharmaceutical client on a key transformation initiative. This role focuses on business-side data migration activities within Commercial and Procurement domains, ensuring high-quality data readiness across systems and countries.

You will work closely with global stakeholders, business users, and IT teams to drive data migration activities from planning through execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute business-driven data migration activities aligned with global deployment timelines

  • Lead and coordinate data cleansing, validation, and preparation activities

  • Ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency across Commercial and Procurement datasets

  • Collaborate with IT teams to define and maintain data mappings between legacy and target systems

  • Support data collection and creation for required datasets (manual or constructed data objects)

  • Maintain and manage master data lists for assigned domains

  • Provide business insights and context to support technical data extraction and transformation

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and defect resolution

  • Support test cycles (SIT, UAT, mock loads) from a data perspective

  • Participate in cutover planning and execution, including final data loads and checks

  • Conduct manual data entry (type-in loads) where required

  • Ensure data is fit for business use and aligned with stakeholder expectations

  • Participate in project governance activities such as workshops, planning sessions, and defect triage

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with global data migration teams and deployment leads

  • Engage with business stakeholders and SMEs across multiple countries

  • Partner with IT and technical teams responsible for data migration and system setup

  • Identify and document local business requirements and data specifics



Requirements

  • Proven experience in data migration (business-side focus)

  • Strong understanding of Commercial & Procurement processes (e.g., vendor management, purchasing, pricing)

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., vendor master data, purchasing documents)

  • Experience in ERP implementations or transformation projects

  • Strong data handling skills using Excel (data cleansing, mapping, reconciliation)

  • Ability to work both strategically and hands-on

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience working in multi-country or global environments

  • Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and timelines effectively

  • Fluent English (additional languages are a plus)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated environments

  • Exposure to large-scale global data migration programs

  • Familiarity with data validation tools or migration frameworks
