We are looking for an experienced Business Data Migration Specialist to support a global pharmaceutical client on a key transformation initiative. This role focuses on business-side data migration activities within Commercial and Procurement domains, ensuring high-quality data readiness across systems and countries.
You will work closely with global stakeholders, business users, and IT teams to drive data migration activities from planning through execution.
Plan and execute business-driven data migration activities aligned with global deployment timelines
Lead and coordinate data cleansing, validation, and preparation activities
Ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency across Commercial and Procurement datasets
Collaborate with IT teams to define and maintain data mappings between legacy and target systems
Support data collection and creation for required datasets (manual or constructed data objects)
Maintain and manage master data lists for assigned domains
Provide business insights and context to support technical data extraction and transformation
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and defect resolution
Support test cycles (SIT, UAT, mock loads) from a data perspective
Participate in cutover planning and execution, including final data loads and checks
Conduct manual data entry (type-in loads) where required
Ensure data is fit for business use and aligned with stakeholder expectations
Participate in project governance activities such as workshops, planning sessions, and defect triage
Work closely with global data migration teams and deployment leads
Engage with business stakeholders and SMEs across multiple countries
Partner with IT and technical teams responsible for data migration and system setup
Identify and document local business requirements and data specifics
Proven experience in data migration (business-side focus)
Strong understanding of Commercial & Procurement processes (e.g., vendor management, purchasing, pricing)
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., vendor master data, purchasing documents)
Experience in ERP implementations or transformation projects
Strong data handling skills using Excel (data cleansing, mapping, reconciliation)
Ability to work both strategically and hands-on
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in multi-country or global environments
Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and timelines effectively
Fluent English (additional languages are a plus)
Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated environments
Exposure to large-scale global data migration programs
Familiarity with data validation tools or migration frameworks
