The Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence (DW/BI) team is responsible for designing and maintaining data warehouses, integrating and cleansing data from various sources, and optimising data storage and retrieval. The team creates reports, dashboards, and predictive models to provide actionable insights, support decision-making, and drive business performance. We collaborate with cross-functional departments, ensuring data security and compliance, and provide user training and support.

As a Data Integration Manager, you will oversee data warehouse and data analytics team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data acquisition, data storage, data transformation, data management data insights and reports. Working in a DevOps environment, you will have end-to-end accountability for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting your data assets. You will manage resources, set priorities, and drive the strategic direction of data initiatives within the organisation. You will mentor junior data engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and optimal use of data resources.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and execute advanced data integration projects.
  • Lead and develop data services end-to-end solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all data sources.
  • Collaborate with business units and other platforms within the IT department to align data initiatives with business goals.
  • Support data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Facilitate and implement strategic insights and recommendations based on data services requirements.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of accurate and actionable data services solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development.

What we’re looking for:

Technology Specific Experience

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in integration architecture/design across cloud data platforms, with hands-on delivery of batch, streaming, and event-driven integrations into a lakehouse/warehouse.
  • Databricks ingestion patterns and tooling (Lakeflow Connect, Delta Lake, Auto Loader, Delta Live Tables, Structured Streaming) and schema evolution/compatibility.
  • Orchestration and ELT/ETL tooling and practices (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory, dbt), Git-based CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
  • API and event contract design (OpenAPI/Swagger, AsyncAPI, Avro/Protobuf/JSON Schema), schema registries, versioning strategy Design and create reusable data engineering frameworks to populate bronze, silver and gold data layers.

Industry Experience

  • Design and implement ingestion patterns for source systems from enterprise business functions like HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales , Risk etc.
  • General data security/compliance and governance best practices; privacy regulations awareness (e.g., Australian Privacy Principles, GDPR) – not explicitly mandated
  • Internal enterprise stakeholders; multi-source data environments; production-grade data services.
  • Senior-level DW/BI and data engineering experience (years not specified; senior associate/lead expectations)

  • Skilled in assessing and prioritizing AI opportunities based on value and feasibility, balancing ambition, risk, and delivery constraints.
  • Experienced in process mapping, requirements definition, stakeholder engagement, and confident collaborating with senior stakeholders.
  • Clear communication skills for executive and delivery audiences, supported by formal education in business or related fields and foundational AI training.
