Introduction

We are recruiting 5 experienced Data Migration Architects to design and lead complex enterprise data migration and modernisation projects. The successful candidates must have proven experience migrating data between legacy systems, enterprise databases and modern cloud platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise data migration strategies and architectures.

  • Lead complex data migration projects from planning through to production.

  • Develop source-to-target data mappings and transformation rules.

  • Architect ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.

  • Manage data quality, cleansing, validation and reconciliation.

  • Design database and cloud migration solutions.

  • Develop migration testing, cutover and rollback strategies.

  • Ensure data security, governance and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Relevant IT, Computer Science or Data Engineering degree/diploma.

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in enterprise data environments.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Data Migration Architecture or equivalent solution architecture.

  • Essential: Proven experience designing and leading large-scale enterprise data migrations.

  • Strong SQL, database technologies and data modelling expertise.

  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica or Talend.

  • Experience with Azure, AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of data mapping, transformation, reconciliation and migration testing.

  • Experience with migration cutover, rollback and recovery planning.

  • TOGAF, CDMP, Azure, AWS or relevant data certifications advantageous.

Important: General Data Analysts, BI Developers or ETL Developers without proven enterprise data migration architecture experience will not be considered.
