Functional / Data Analyst – Legacy & Data Migration
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Functional / Data Analyst to support the modernization of legacy and mainframe-based systems. The role focuses on analyzing existing applications, data structures and business processes and translating them into modern data models, functional processes and integration concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy/mainframe applications, data structures, data flows and business processes.
- Document business logic, data definitions, dependencies and functional requirements.
- Perform data mapping, impact analysis and semantic modelling.
- Translate legacy requirements into modern functional processes, data models and integration concepts.
- Contribute to the development of ontologies and semantic models.
- Analyze and exploit logging, audit trails and data-query information.
- Support the migration of applications, processes and data to modern platforms.
- Validate migrated processes and data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with business users, architects, developers, DBAs, security specialists and project managers.
- Facilitate workshops with domain experts and document outcomes.
Requirements
- Expert experience in Business Analysis and Functional Analysis.
- Strong experience with data modelling, semantic modelling, data mapping and impact analysis.
- Experience analyzing legacy/mainframe environments.
- Experience with application, process and data migration.
- Knowledge of ontologies and semantic models.
- Experience analyzing logging, audit trails and operational data.
- Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to bridge business, data, architecture and technology.
- Dutch, French and English proficiency.
