Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Data Migration Lead with strong expertise in SAP technical development, legacy data conversion, SAP Migration Cockpit, and custom migration object enhancement.

This role is ideal for professionals who have independently handled end-to-end data migration workstreams from SAP ECC/Legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA, including data extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, upload, reconciliation, and technical troubleshooting.

The consultant will also play a key role in ABAP custom development, migration automation, interface handling, and technical optimization across enterprise implementation or rollout programs.

Key Responsibilities SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Delivery

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA data migration and data conversion activities
• Perform legacy data extraction, cleansing, transformation, mapping, validation, and upload
• Work extensively on SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC) for standard object migration
• Modify and enhance migration objects using LTMOM based on business requirements
• Troubleshoot migration load failures and optimize migration performance
• Ensure data reconciliation, integrity checks, and post-load validation

SAP ABAP Technical Development

• Develop and enhance custom ABAP reports, ALV reports, and conversion programs
• Build custom upload tools for bulk master and transactional data migration
• Develop and support:
  • BAPI
  • BADI
  • BDC
  • LSMW
  • Function Modules
  • Data Dictionary Objects

Interfaces, Forms & Enhancements

• Work on FTP / RFC / Open Dataset / AL11 based file interfaces
• Develop Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, PDF mailers, and correspondence outputs
• Implement User Exits, BADIs, Enhancements, and BTEs
• Perform custom validations and technical process enhancements

Testing & Support

• Participate in SIT, UAT, defect fixing, go-live, and hypercare support
• Perform SQL tuning, debugging, short dump analysis, and code remediation
• Coordinate with functional teams across SD/MM/FI for technical alignment
• Prepare technical design and migration documentation

✅ Mandatory Skills / Must Have (Strict Screening Parameters) Core SAP Technical Experience

• 6 to 10 years of strong hands-on SAP ABAP / ABAP on HANA experience
• Minimum 2+ years of SAP S/4HANA project experience
• Strong experience in implementation / rollout / migration / support environments

SAP Data Migration Expertise

• Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Data Migration / Data Conversion
• Strong working experience on SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC)
• Mandatory hands-on experience in LTMOM enhancement / custom migration object modification
• Experience in:
  • Legacy Data Extraction
  • Data Mapping
  • Data Cleansing
  • Data Validation
  • Data Upload & Reconciliation

ABAP Development & Conversion Tools

Strong hands-on technical expertise in:

• BDC
• LSMW
• BAPI
• Function Modules
• ABAP Reports / ALV
• Custom Conversion Programs

Enhancements & Interfaces

• Hands-on experience in BADI / User Exits / BTE / SAP Enhancements
• Experience in FTP / RFC / Open Dataset / AL11 Interfaces
• Experience in Smart Forms / SAP Scripts

Technical Troubleshooting

• Strong debugging capability
• SQL performance tuning
• Load failure analysis and migration issue resolution

Business Process Understanding

• Good understanding of SAP SD / MM / FI data structures and business processes

⭐ Preferred / Good to Have Skills

Candidates with below exposure will be highly preferred:

• Experience in S/4HANA 2023 upgrade remediation / ABAP code adaptation
• Knowledge of ECC to S/4HANA migration strategy
• Onsite client handling / direct stakeholder coordination
• UAT support and technical documentation exposure
• Automotive / Manufacturing project experience

✅ Preferred Project Exposure

Candidate should have worked in at least one or more of the following:

• SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Projects
• SAP ECC to S/4HANA Conversion Projects
• SAP Rollout / Greenfield Implementation Projects
• SAP AMS / Production Support Projects

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are specifically looking for consultants who can independently drive the technical migration workstream, handle complex migration objects, troubleshoot upload failures, and support enterprise SAP S/4HANA transformation programs with minimal supervision.
