Role Description

Seeking an experienced Windchill Data Migration Lead to manage end-to-end PLM data migration, including extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation within PTC Windchill. The role involves defining migration strategies, mapping source-to-target data models, ensuring data quality, and coordinating with business, functional, infrastructure, and migration teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end PLM data migration, including scope, roadmap, risk management, scheduling, and migration strategy.

  • Analyze source and target data models and define mapping rules for parts, BOMs, CAD documents, change notices, and related PLM data.

  • Perform data extraction and loading using Windchill WBM, custom Java APIs, and SQL scripts.

  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, duplicate records, broken relationships, and reconciliation discrepancies.

  • Conduct pre-load and post-load validation and reconciliation.

  • Support migration between non-PLM systems and Windchill, including site consolidation.

  • Coordinate with business users, functional analysts, IT infrastructure, and data migration teams.

  • Apply data migration methodologies, transformation techniques, validation practices, and scripting to automate migration processes.

Required Skills

  • 8–10 years of experience, including hands-on PLM data migration in a Windchill environment.

  • Strong knowledge of PTC Windchill data models, workflows, configurations, and migration utilities.

  • Experience with Windchill Business Migration (WBM), Java APIs, SQL, and scripting languages.

  • Expertise in data mapping, transformation, extraction, loading, validation, and reconciliation.

  • Knowledge of site consolidation tools and processes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Medical device industry experience.

  • Experience migrating data from non-PLM systems to Windchill.

  • Relevant PLM or data management certifications.
