Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Engineer with a strong background in large-scale (petabyte-level) data migrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Dell EMC technologies, particularly Data Domain, ECS, and Networker, and a proven track record delivering complex migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute large-scale data migration projects (petabyte-scale environments).

Design migration strategies, including data validation, rollback planning, and risk mitigation.

Work with Dell EMC tools and platforms, including Data Domain, ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage), and Networker.

Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless migrations.

Perform data integrity checks, performance tuning, and post-migration validation.

Troubleshoot issues across storage, backup, and network layers during migration activities.

Document processes, runbooks, and migration plans.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in data migrations at petabyte scale.

Strong hands-on experience with:

Dell EMC Data Domain

Dell EMC ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage)

Dell EMC Networker

Solid understanding of:

Storage systems and architectures

Backup and recovery solutions

Networking fundamentals (latency, throughput, protocols impacting migration)

Experience with migration tools, scripting, or automation (Python, Bash, etc.).

Ability to manage complex environments and coordinate across multiple teams.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of data replication technologies.

Previous experience in highly regulated or enterprise environments.
